Week 7 Fantasy Football Picks

So I play on Fanduel and this is my lineup for week 7.  Understand, this lineup is constrained because of the salary cap of FanDuel.  I am also a Carolina Panthers fan, so I tend to find a way to get the Panthers represented sometimes.  However, I feel really good about this lineup and think it's a winner.

I'd love your feedback, so drop me a line and/or join me on FanDuel.

My picks for week 3:

QB: Cam Newton or Philip Rivers
The case for Cam Newton - Cam has been hot this year.  His passing stats are nowhere near Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers, but he has thrown for a touchdown and rushed for a touchdown in 3 of 5 games.  The Philly defense is average and the Panthers are playing at home.

The case for Phillip Rivers - He's playing Oakland, whose defense isn't exactly lights out.  The Raiders defense has given up the 7th most yards in the league this year, and Phiilip Rivers and company are one of the elite passing attacks in the league.  With the addition of Antonio Gates in recent weeks, he has more weapons to distribute the ball to.  I see him having a great game.

RB: Devonta Freeman, Joseph Randle
Freeman  has owned the league so far this season.  His numbers are astronomical and I don't see Tennessee changing that anytime soon.  The Falcons have a very favorable matchup and i expect Freeman to have another big game.

Randle  is the main man in Dallas right now.  He should see plenty of opportunities, against the Giants.  I expect this to be a high scoring affair with Randle playing a major role.

WR: Larry Fitzgerald, Amari Cooper, Vincent Jackson, Rishard Matthews,
Fitzgerald is having a comeback season for the ages.  He looks like the Larry Fitzgerald from 5 years ago.  He's really in sync with Carson Palmer and as long as Palmer is healthy, Larry is a solid play week in and week out.

Cooper hasn't exploded as much as we thought, but a match up against San Diego is in his favor.  he should see plenty of Targets from Derek Carr and I expect he should get around 80 yards and a score.

Vincent Jackson is a bit of a reach here.  However, against a weak Washington secondary, I look forward to him putting up some decent numbers.  He should grab about 6 receptions for 75 yards and a score.

Rishard Matthews is a bit underrated and under-appreciated.  He has put some decent numbers opposite Jarvis Landry and is capable of having a big game any week.

Pierre Garcon is a solid play.  he hasn't put up any monster numbers, but he is facing Tampa Bay this week.  And with all the questions about Kirk Cousins' effectiveness, he could be primed for a big game.  Plus, he's playing Tampa Bay!

TE: Greg Olsen
Olsen has been phenomenal 2 of the last 3 weeks.  Look for Cam to target Olsen a bunch this weekend and the matchup is pretty favorable.

Antonio Gates has given some more punch to an already good passing attack in San Diego.  He hasn't skipped a beat since coming back from the 4 game suspension and he has a great matchup against Oakland this week.  Just on targets alone, he's worth the play.  He's still a top five tight-end in the league.

K: Sebastian Janikowski
I think there are going to plenty of scoring opportunities in this Raiders-Chargers game, and Janikowski could benefit heavily.  He still has great range, so a 50 yard field goal or two may be in the cards this week.

D: Carolina Panthers or Arizona Cardinals
The Panthers D is going to have its work cut out for it, but they are riding high right now.  A home game in primetime always helps too.  The Defense has been good all year, and with the 4 sacks last week, it seems as if they are getting more pressure on the quarterback, which they will need against the Eagles.

The Arizona Cardinals are playing a weak Baltimore team.  The Cardinal defense is looking to get back on a roll after they allowed Landry Jones to carve them up.  Baltimore is struggling to win games and I don't think that will change this week.
