What's In A Poem?
So I had this thought, or rather a question. Can writing poetry be used to help students who struggle to read? I think so. I think having students write poetry can help them develop their meta-cognition (masters word alert) skills. The student can start to understand why they are writing and hopefully they can develop better skills for reading and understanding other types of writing.
