Growing Up

Alright, so I'm not a consistent blogger. But I'll hit you up every now and again. So, several years ago, at least four, I was visiting a friend in Atlanta. While at his house he showed me his garden. He told me that he started a garden when he realized that vegetables and herbs were becoming more expensive. That day, a seed was planted, pun intended. So last year, my wife and I timidly stepped into the gardening world by planting cherry tomatoes.
We didn't do so well, but the experience did leave me wanting more. This year we have decided to expand our gardening repertoire. I read a statistic that between 2008 and 2009, there was a 26% increase in the number of Americans with backyard gardens. I can understand why.

Look at the benefits:
  • Less costly

  • Organic

  • Gets you outdoors

  • Family activity

I'll keep you posted on our progress.
