Talk A Good Game

Talk A good Game

In the last post, I mentioned that in order to get ready for the NFL season, you need to familiarize yourself with your team's schedule.  This is important because you need to prioritize the important dates on the schedule.  Likewise, the next tip is just as important and goes hand in hand with knowing the schedule.

Talk Shop

After you've familiarized yourself with the schedule, you need to start talking up the season.  You've heard that saying, "Ignorance is bliss".  Well, don't let the people around you feign ignorance of your love for NFL football.  You gotta start talking the season up.  Talk about the games you "can't wait" to see.  Tell everyone how excited you are.  This way, no one can say that they did not know you wanted to watch, go to, or whatever the game.

This step is necessary for your significant other to understand the importance you put on the games.  The more you talk about it in the preseason, the more opportunities you have to iron out any potential scheduling conflicts that may arise.  Use this time to avoid problems and even make compromises before the season starts.  There's nothing worse than having someone pull you from a game unexpectedly.  What I'm really saying is communication is the key.  So open your mouth and communicate that love for football.
