Your Responsibilities During Training Camp

Training Camp

The NFL season will be upon us in a few short weeks.  All NFL teams are prepping for the season.  They have finished mini-camps, have invited players to tryout, and are now preparing for their training camps.  During training camp, teams usually go out of town so that the team can spend time together, both practicing and developing camaraderie off the practice field.  Just as the teams are preparing for the season, you too should be preparing for the upcoming season.  Here's how!  I'm going to be bringing you a series of tasks that need to be accomplished prior to the season.  Some of these tasks need to be done during training camp while others need to be done during the preseason.

If you want to have a successful NFL season, you need to follow these steps.  Step one is below.

Scheduling

The first task during the training camp season is to familiarize yourself with the schedule.  Know your team's schedule and anticipate "can't miss" dates.  For example, if your team is scheduled for a Monday night game, that is a 'can't miss" game, especially if they aren't normally showcased.  Aside from your team's schedule, you need to start communicating with the important people around you about their schedules.  So that means listening to your wife especially when she talks about weekend plans.  (I'll have another post detailing what to do when conflicts arise).  Try to help her steer clear of those "can't miss" dates.

Remember, this is designed to help get you set for a memorable season.  Don't procrastinate, start now!
